You will need:

250 g (8 oz.) wholemeal flour

2 teaspoons baking powder
·
1 teaspoon mixed spice
·
150 g (5 oz.) margarine
·
1 teaspoon sugar
·
1 egg
·
Milk to mix
·
170 g (6 oz.) dried fruit
·
170 g (6 oz.) candied peel
Method
Mix the flour, baking powder and mixed spice. Rub in the
margarine then add the sugar. Mix in the beaten egg and enough milk to make a
stiff consistency. Add the fruit and peel, and place the mixture in small heaps
on a greased baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes in ⁰the top of a hot oven at 450 ⁰F.
